Call for Applications: Graduate Students Interested in Economics of AI

The NBER project on the Economics of Artificial Intelligence will hold a
full day workshop in Toronto Canada on September 25, 2019 for graduate
students and recent PhDs interested in learning about this topic and
meeting other researchers with similar interests. Funding for the hotel
and travel required to attend the workshop is provided by the Alfred P.
Sloan Foundation. Immediately following the workshop, participants will
have the opportunity to interact with attendees of the third annual NBER
Conference in AI, to be held in Toronto September 26 and 27, 2019.

Graduate students interested in applying for travel support should send
an application in a single pdf file (labeled with their name) with the
following information:
• Contact information, including email address.
• A one page CV, including key coursework, major (and minor if
applicable) focus of study.
• A maximum 300 word summary of their interest in AI. This could include
research already undertaken, links from current research focus on AI
topics, or reasons for newly formed interest in the topic.
